The ISDI Fashion Incubator is part of The Indian School of Design & Innovation, which is one of India’s leading fashion and design institutes. The objective of this incubator is to create a platform for aspiring fashion entrepreneurs across India to engage and get professionally coached by leading, global fashion experts.
This is a six-month program, which will give you an opportunity to engage with
the best from the fashion community through mentoring sessions, seminars,
workshops as well as one-on-one interactions. These mentors will guide you on design, development,
manufacturing and marketing, thereby enabling you to become well rounded and successful creators.

The participants for the first edition of this program will be selected by the mentors from the applications received. During their incubation, the selected designers and entrepreneurs will be trained by industry veterans on the various facets of running a fashion venture, that will help create a foundation and scale-up business further.
This program will help fine tune your business plan through a proper framework, resources and a creative co-working space.
Our mentors will guide you on production techniques and connect you to the right manufacturers to showcase relevant case studies.
The incubator will help you create go-to-market and customer acquisition strategies that will enable you to collaborate, grow, sustain and scale effectively.
FASHION MARKETING AND PR
The cohort will cover some interesting and effective marketing and PR strategies across the digital and traditional mediums that will help you reach out to your customers better, create awareness and drive sales.
CAMPAIGN STYLING AND CREATIVE DIRECTION
The program will provide an in-depth understanding of editorial styling and creative direction. It will also include a shoot curated by mentors and course directors, enabling you to build a stronger portfolio.
RETAIL AND MERCHANDISING
You will be provided with new age tools to understand complex aspects of the fashion buyer function. It will also guide you on the science of buying and pricing models through interesting case studies.
Kayaan Contractor is a fashion blogger and an image maker. Her blog, Shapeshifter creates editorial-style sartorial experiences. A graduate from International Academy of Design and Technology, Contractor also works as an independent stylist.
Dhimaan Shah is the Co-Founder and Managing Director at StyleCracker, one of the most exciting and fastest growing fashion and technology brands in the country. Dhimaan is a graduate from Northwestern University with a degree in Economics and has been ranked as one of the 100 most influential people in fashion in India for two consecutive years by Grazia.
Archana Walavalkar is the Co-Founder and Creative Director at StyleCracker. She brings with her over a decade of experience in the fashion and styling industry. Prior to this, she was one of the founding team members at Vogue India and styled some of the most iconic shoots in the magazine as the Fashion Editor. She has been ranked as one of the 100 most influential people in fashion in India for two consecutive years by Grazia.
Charu Gaur is the Founder of Runway Square, a first-ever fashion meets travel digital magazine and consultancy, and alsothe head consultant for ISDI’s Fashion Incubator. Prior to this, she was the Creative Director at JWT for brands like Pepsi and Airtel, Digital Editor at Grazia India and Executive Producer of School of Style.
Nikhil Thampi, one of the new generation of fashion designers, believes in comfortable wearable fashion and grander designs. His designs embrace new age femininity with sharp tailoring and striking cuts and colours. His work has been covered by top fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE among others.
Sohiny Das is a fashion consultant, stylist, and writer. She is also the co-founder and director of Grain Fashion Consultancy, a design and imagery guidance set-up for fashion labels. An alumnus of NIFT and London College of Fashion, she started her career in design, post which she took on the role of a fashion editor at Verve magazine, and has also contributed editorial photo shoots and written features for other publications. She has also worked as a creative/ technical consultant with several established and emerging designers.
Sumeet Yadav is the Group CEO for DOIT Retails, Sports and Creative Attractions. Hebrings over two decades of brand experience out of which a large part has been in fashion retail. As part of the Reliance Brands founding team, he has been instrumental in launching some successful fashion franchises in India including Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, SuperDry, Brooks Bros, Thomas Pink, Steve Madden, Paul & Shark among others.

Radha Kapoor Khanna, Founder of DOIT Creations is a creative entrepreneur and design thinker who is passionate about connecting design, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. She is an alumnus of Parsons School of Design, New York and the Founder & Executive Director of the Indian School of Design and Innovation. Radha remains committed towards incubating and investing in diverse 'new age' businesses in India across high growth sectors.

The ISDI Fashion Incubator provides emerging India based designers and entrepreneurs with the resources to launch and grow their fashion businesses. We are looking for fresh and emerging talents with breakthrough ideas in Fashion Design, Fash-tech Innovation, Accessories Design, Sustainability Concepts and E-Commerce.
Must be over 21 years of age Must be a Resident of India Must have an established fashion business (6 months to 3 years)
If selected, the entrepreneurs will pay a Program fee of INR 49,000 to ISDI Fashion Incubator. This is a refundable deposit returned on the successful completion of the program*
This program is a product of ISDI Mumbai’s Fashion initiative to help further your fashion entrepreneurship dreams. All we expect in return is a commitment to actively participate and keep yourself involved during all the different modules of the program, and adhere to our guidelines, while we together build a sustainable business that can compete in the global fashion industry.
If accepted into the program, the Entrepreneur Agreement sets out the participation terms and conditions, including both operational and liability matters. You are expected to read and duly comply with the terms and conditions laid therein.
*GUIDELINES FOR EVALUATION & REFUND OF FEES:
1) It is mandatory for each member/team to attend 4 panel discussions/workshops per month.
2) It is mandatory to attend at least 8 one-on-one sessions out of 12 within the six-month program.
3) The member/team needs to present a shoot at the end of the six-month cohort to all the mentors in the form of a branded video/look-book/brand campaign/any other format.
4) The member/team needs to present key learnings/outcomes of the month to the mentors.
1) The refund of the fees of the member/team will be evaluated by the mentors and the decision will be at their discretion.
2) Non-adherence to any of the above guidelines will be evaluated on a case-to-case basis and a certain amount may be deducted from the fees.
