Amit Kundal holds a Bachelors Degree in Lifestyle Accessory Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, India (NIFT). He then joined the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for his Masters in Design. While a student at IIT Kanpur, he attended the Product Development Project (PDP) course at Alto Design Factory in Helsinki, Finland and ME310 programme at D School Stanford University, USA which helped him shape his thought process for design and his inclination towards social innovation. After a Master’s degree in Design, he is currently pursuing his PhD in Design from IIT Kanpur. His core domain is research into how ‘design thinking’ can help solve socio technical issues prevalent in a developing country.
