Shamit Shrivastav has joined ISDI as the Program Director of School of Product Innovation & Strategic Design and Project and Manager for Industry projects. A designer, innovator and strategist – Shamit comes with over 13 years of rich experience in automobile and consumer goods industry.Prior to ISDI Shamit has led the Product Planning and Strategy function in Cummins Technologies and Product Innovation in Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. In Mahindra he was a founder member of Innovation Cell for Auto and Farm Sectors where he primarily worked on projects of strategic importance. He has won several awards including the KC Mahindra Award for Excellence in Automotive Design in 2006 and an honourable mention in the Tea Kettle International Design Competition organized by World Kitchen and endorsed by IDSA (Industrial Designer’s Society of America) in 2009. His biggest achievement has been conceptualization of a product called the Roadmaster G75 – a road construction equipment which was successfully launched by Mahindra last.
