Both Lime and Bamboo are materials used in the construction industry for centuries. Bamboo is a fibrous material and lime that is granular in nature can generate a porous and breathable material in combination with a binding agent. As all the materials are natural and obtained from the waste, it creates a new cycle of material use. After living the second life as cladding these materials not only degrade into the soil but enhance the nutritional value of the soil. This third life of the product closes the open loop created by current industries following the principle of cradle to grave.

Due to westernization, the customers are conditioned to use existing cladding making them forget the benefits of using local materials. This linear system of consuming existing claddings affects the environment.

The FOBB clads not only benefits the environment by reducing the carbon footprint and creating a circular economy by using waste materials, but it also benefits the people by giving a healthier interior environment. The FOBB fulfills the needs of the planet, people and industry at the same time.

The new material shares the same properties as the parent materials such as termite resistance and thermally insulating. These can be used in interiors spaces.
